Who we are

Canadian Freight Xpress Inc. ("CFX") is a trucking company at 92 Carrier Drive, Etobicoke, ON M9W 5R1. We follow Canada's federal privacy law for businesses (PIPEDA). Questions or requests go to our Privacy Officer at [email protected] or 905-960-7000.

What we collect and why

• Quote requests: name, company, email, phone and shipment details, to price and book your freight.
• Contact messages: name, email, optional phone and your message, to answer you.
• Carrier partner sign-ups: company and contact details, fleet, lanes and insurance status, to review the partnership.
• Job applications: contact details, optional resume and message, to consider you for the job.
• Driver applications: contact details, licence class and province or state, driving experience, demerit points, violations, accidents, border eligibility, drug and alcohol testing history, and photos of your driver's licence (front and back). A CVOR or driver's abstract is optional. We use this only to decide whether to move forward with your application and to start the background checks you agree to (CVOR, driver abstract and PSP).

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Driver licence photos and documents

• Files are sent over an encrypted connection and stored encrypted on CFX's own server. They are never published on the website.
• Only authorized CFX hiring staff can open them, after signing in. Every view and download is logged.
• If we don't move forward with your application, the files are deleted right away.
• Otherwise they are deleted automatically 31 days after the last step in your application. If you are hired, the documents we must keep go into your driver qualification file, as Canadian and U.S. trucking safety rules require.
• Please don't send anything we didn't ask for, such as your SIN or banking details.

Who can see it

CFX staff who need it for the purpose above. Our website runs through Cloudflare, which protects the site from attacks and spam. If you apply to drive and agree to the checks, we share what's needed with the government or service that runs that check (for example, Ontario's Ministry of Transportation for a CVOR or abstract, or the FMCSA for a PSP report).

How long we keep it

Form messages and applications are kept for as long as we need them to answer you or for business records, and then deleted. Driver licence photos and documents follow the timeline in the section above.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser.

• Always on (needed for the site to work): Cloudflare security cookies that block bots and attacks, and a note in your browser that remembers your cookie choice for 12 months. These don't track you across other sites.
• Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics cookies (named _ga), kept for up to 2 years. They count visits and show which pages are useful. Google receives your IP address and browsing data on our site and may process it outside Canada. We turn off Google's advertising features.

Analytics stays off until you tap "Accept analytics". You can change your choice at any time:

Your choices and rights

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
• Ask us to correct it.
• Withdraw your consent. For a driver application, this means we stop reviewing it and delete your files.

Email [email protected] and we'll reply within 30 days. If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), spam and bot protection on every form, encrypted file storage, staff-only sign-in for our admin system, and access logs.
